Tom Cruise, you know the guy everyone makes so many Scientology jokes about, returns in another sci-fi film, Edge of Tomorrow. The action star actually hasn't been in as many sci-fi films than I thought. Minority Report was pretty good, but War of the Worlds wasn't, and Oblivion this past year didn't exactly set the world on on fire. In
Edge of Tomorrow, Cruise plays someone caught in a time loop experiencing the day of his final battle over and over again. Think Groundhog Day but with mech suits & aliens. This is the first I'm hearing of this film, and it looks like it may have potential. Honestly, I'm just a sucker for armored suits. Edge of Tomorrow comes out June 2014.
