Game of Thrones Parodies

With Game of Thrones premiering today, let's get into something a little silly. Game of Thrones parodies! Here are a few of my favorites.

From The Warp Zone comes this Game of Thrones medley which is pretty spot on. It starts with Dany Targaryen covering "Titanium" by Sia. C'mon, you can hear her sing "I am Targaryen!" Followed by the Lannisters covering Katy Perry's "Roar" mainly because their motto is "Hear Me Roar." Arya, Jon Snow and Robb Stark cover Eminem's "The Monster" which is probably the weakest entry. And everyone joins in a the end for Imagine Dragon's "Demons."

If Game of Thrones were a 90's TV series like Xena or Highlander, it would have this kind of intro. It even has the correct 4:3 aspect ratio, static riddled VHS video, and Queen intro music.

Sesame Street parodies Game of Thrones with Game of Chairs, designed to teach kids musical chairs. Tons of inside jokes for adults.

YouTube parody experts the Screen Team cover The Wanted's "Glad You Came" going over events from season 1.

The Simpsons had a Game of Thrones couch gag!

On Robot Chicken, a nerd dreams about being in Westeros. Things don't end well for Khal Drogo, Robert Baratheon, or Ned Stark. So I guess he really doesn't have any affect...

South Park added words to the opening theme!

The Wil Weaton Project provided this Brady Bunch themed intro detailing just how many characters there are and just how screwed up everyone is.

Possibly my favorite parody intro is this one for Super Mario World. I love that old school 8-bit style music.

And of course don't forget the real Game of Thrones premieres on HBO tonight!
